Introduction to Protection Orders
Basics of Protection Order Types & Processes
Domestic violence, familial discord, intimate partner violence, as well as many other situations often lead to individuals seeking additional ways to help put space between them and another person. Protection orders can help offer some reassurance that the other party is not allowed near them and that should they violate the order there may be legal consequences. This course describes the different types of protection orders that may be available and how they can be obtained and their enforcement.
